Mendham Borough, N.J. (January 23, 2023) - Plaintiff, Cynthia Bernstein, age 38, was involved in a motor vehicle crash at the intersection of Tempe Wick Road and Corey Lane, when Defendant, Linda K. Friedman, made a left turn in front of her vehicle, striking the front driver's side of the Bernstein vehicle.
As a result of the crash, Mrs. Bernstein was treated by a vascular surgeon, Dr. Michael J. Wilderman, M.D. Dr. Wilderman diagnosed her with arterial thoracic outlet syndrome casually related to this crash and performed a thoracic outlet decompression operation.
Defendant retained Dr. Rajnik Raab, M.D., an expert in neurological surgery. Dr. Raab opined that Mrs. Bernstein's injuries were caused by the subject motor vehicle crash but disagreed that there was any evidence of thoracic outlet syndrome.
The matter was mediated and settled before Judge Kenneth Grispin (Ret.) prior to trial and settled on November 1, 2022.
